Philadelphia experimentalists Palm release 'On The Sly', the third single from their highly anticipated new album Nicks And Grazes. With previous singles 'Feathers' and 'Parable Lickers' the new record is shaping up to be an innovative exercise in experimentation with both live and electronic sounds, pushing musical boundaries to explore the “the percussive, textural, and gestural potential” of their instruments. 'On The Sly' contains some of the distinctive guitar tones of their debut Trading Basics that reference no-wave artists like Glenn Branca or This Heat, coupled with glitching electronics and melodic warped vocal swells undulate over a complex jolting rhythm section, with surreal visual lyrics that "turned out a little sadder than intended but when we play this song I smile." according to vocalist and guitarist Eve Alpert.
